2018 Boise State Recruiting Roundup: 10/8/17

One of my FAVORITE things is watching the Broncos win. My second favorite thing is watching BYU lose. When the two come together, IT’S GLORIOUS. Let’s catch up on what the future Broncos were up to this week.

Andrew VanBuren, RB, Caminade HS (West Hills, CA)

Chaminade has a bye this week, but takes on Loyola on Friday, 10/13 at 7pm.

Scale Igiehon, DT, Del Valle HS (Del Valle, TX)

Del Valle got back in the win column with a 31-15 victory over San Marcos on Friday, improving to 4-2. Stats were not available for Del Valle in the win. Scale, however, had highlights.

Here are some highlights from his senior season so far.

Del Valle takes on Bowie on Friday, 10/13 at 730pm.

Kukea Emmsley, DE, Kapolei HS (Kapolei, HI)

Kapolei blanked 'Aiea this week 41-0, moving to 5-5 on the season. Thats back-to-back shutouts for the Hurricanes. Stats for the game were not available, but Kukea did have highlights.

Kapolei takes on Kahuku this Friday, 10/13 at 730pm (Hawaii time).

Brandon Hawkins, LB, Georgetown HS (Georgetown, TX)

The Eagles handled Eastview, winning 68-20 Friday improving to 5-1. Stats have not yet been posted for this game, but stats for Bastrop were updated. He had 7 tackles and 1 TFL in the win. Below are Brandon’s mid-season highlights.

Georgetown takes on Rouse Friday, 10/13 at 730pm.

Zidane Thomas, RB, Centennial HS (Peoria, AZ)

Centennial shut out Shadow Ridge 25-0 on Friday, staying undefeated at 7-0. Zidane had 6 carries for 37 yards.

Centennial takes on Sierra Linda on Friday, 10/13 at 7pm.

DJ Schramm, LB, Clovis West HS (Fresno, CA)

The Clovis West beat Clovis North 34-13 on Friday, improving to 45-1 on the season. Stats for the win were not yet available. Highlights from the Centennial game were available, though.

Mid-season highlights were also available.

The Golden Eagles take on Buchanan on Friday, 10/13 at 7pm.

Philip Mills, LB, Paloma Valley HS (Menifee, CA)

Paloma Valley dismantled Temescal Canyon 48-10, improving to 5-1 on the season. Mills had 4 total tackles and two QB hurries in the win. So far this season, he has 42 total tackles, 1 sack, 9 TFL, 1 interception and 1 fumble recovery. Not a bad stat line for mid-season. Highlights for Temescal Canyon are below.

Mid-season highlights below.

They will take on Lakeside on October 13th at 7pm.

Zachary Wilson, QB, Corner Canyon HS (Draper, UT)

Corner Canyon moved to 7-0 after beating Cottonwood 64-0. Stats are not yet available in the win. Stats for the Brighton game have been updated though. Wilson was 15-22 for 279 yards and 3 TDs. He also added 12 carries for 108 yards on the ground. Wilson is currently 101 - 170 for 1,788 yards, 17 TDs and 5 INTs. He also has 89 carries for 658 yards and another 6 TDs. He oddly has a highlight on his HUDL called “ankle”, but I’m not sure what that means. I’ll let you go see it on his hudl page instead of posting it here. Below are his midseason highlights.

Corner Canyon takes on Alta this Thursday at 7pm.

Keeghan Freeborn, OG, Rocky Mountain HS (Meridian, ID)

Rocky Mountain got back in the win column with a 42-14 victory over Kuna on Thursday, improving to 5-2. Stats aren’t kept for offensive lineman. I couldn’t find any updated information on Freeborn’s condition either.

Something interesting of note: I’m assuming Kekoa Nawahine has a younger sibling at Rocky Mountain named Kaimana, aka Gavin. I don’t imagine Nawahine is a common name around these parts. He is a sophomore this year.

Rocky Mountain takes on Eagle this Friday 10/13 at 7pm.

Kekaniokoa Gonzalez, C, Mater Dei HS (Santa Ana, CA)

Mater Dei cleaned up last Friday, defeating Santa Margarita 70-35 and improving to 6-0. Stats generally aren’t kept for offensive lineman. Mid-season highlights are below.

Mater Dei takes on St John Bosco on Friday, 10/13 at 7pm. SJB is ranked #3 in California and 8th nationally. Mater Dei is #1 in California and #2 nationally behind IMG Academy.

Cole Ramseyer, TE, Coeur d’Alene HS (Coeur d’Alene, ID)

The Vikings whooped Lewiston on Friday 55-18, improving to 5-2 for the year. Cole returned from an ankle injury last week and had 1 reception for 12 yards along with 3 total tackles on defense.

CDA takes on Lake City this Friday 10/13 at 7pm.

Solid info available this week, but still missing some info. I feel like we are nearing another “GO BRONCOS!” tweet soon. I can feel it. Go Broncos!
