NCAA Football: Boise State at Utah State Chris Nicoll-USA TODAY Sports

A complete game on the road. Who would have thought? Not to mention it being a 27 pt win! Next up is Nevada at home.

Let’s check in on the future Broncos and get to know the new commits from this week.

Andrew VanBuren, RB, Caminade HS (West Hills, CA)

Chaminade took down Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks) 40-35, staying perfect in league play and improving to 8-1 on the season. I couldn’t find a full stat line for the game, but AVB had 32 kick return yards and a rushing TD for sure. If I can find the stats, I’ll get it updated.

Chaminade takes on Bishop Amat on Friday, 11/3 at 7pm.

Scale Igiehon, DT, Del Valle HS (Del Valle, TX)

Del Valle fell to Akins 25-35, moving to 4-4 on the season and 0-3 in district play. Stats weren’t available in the loss.

Del Valle takes on Manor on Friday, 11/3 at 730pm.

Kukea Emmsley, DE, Kapolei HS (Kapolei, HI)

Kapolei finished the season 5-6, 2-5 in league play. Final stats for Kukea have not yet been compiled.

Brandon Hawkins, LB, Georgetown HS (Georgetown, TX)

Georgetown smoked Cedar Creek 70-10 improving to 7-2 and 5-2 in district. Stats were not available in the blowout, but there is a highlight video.

Georgetown takes on Pflugerville Connally Friday, 11/9 at 7pm.

Zidane Thomas, RB, Centennial HS (Peoria, AZ)

Centennial lost their first game of the season - a 19-21 tilt to Liberty. They are 9-1 on the season and 3-1 in section. Zidane Thomas, though, had 29 carries for 239 yards and a TD. Thomas’ totals for the year are as follows: 134 carries for 1,348 yards (10.1 ypc) and 15 TDs.

Centennial takes on Sunnyslope on Friday, 11/3 at 7pm in the playoffs.

DJ Schramm, LB, Clovis West HS (Fresno, CA)

Clovis West lost to Central 40-13 on Friday, moving to 7-2 for the season, 3-1 in league play. Stats weren’t available in the win, but Schramm did have a big hit in the first quarter.

The Golden Eagles take on Clovis on Friday, 11/3 at 7pm.

Philip Mills, LB, Paloma Valley HS (Menifee, CA)

Paloma Valley moved to 8-1 after beating Perris 35-12 on Friday. Stats have not yet been posted for the win.

Paloma Valley will take on Heritage on 11/3 at 7pm.

Zachary Wilson, QB, Corner Canyon HS (Draper, UT)

Corner Canyon beat Bountiful in a close one 24-21 to stay a perfect 10-0 and 5-0 in region. Zach’s stats weren’t available outside of 1 touchdown.

Corner Canyon will take on Highland in the quarterfinals this Friday, 11/3 at 4pm.

Keeghan Freeborn, OG, Rocky Mountain HS (Meridian, ID)

Rocky Mountain beat Post Falls 63-34, improving to 8-2 for the season and 4-1 in conference. Stats aren’t kept for offensive lineman. Highlights from last week’s win over Centennial were posted.

Rocky Mountain takes on Eagle this Friday 11/3 at 7pm in the quarterfinals.

Kekaniokoa Gonzalez, C, Mater Dei HS (Santa Ana, CA)

Mater Dei defeated Orange Lutheran 51-21 on Friday, staying perfect at 9-0, 4-0 in league play. They moved back to 2nd, from 1st, in the national rankings behind IMG Academy. No stats were kept for Kekaniokoa in the win. He did, however, have highlights.

Mater Dei takes on Servite on Friday, 11/3 at 7pm.

Cole Ramseyer, TE, Coeur d’Alene HS (Coeur d’Alene, ID)

CDA did not have a game this last week, apologies for not posting that. Offensive stats for the win over Post Falls were posted. Cole had 8 receptions for 126 yards and 2 TDs. Cole has 30 catches for 445 yards and 5 TDs.

Coeur d’Alene takes on Madison in the playoffs this Friday, 11/3.

Demitri Washington, STUD, Santa Fe Christian Schools (Solana Beach, CA)

Demitri’s Eagles are 5-4 overall, 2-1 in league and coming off a 45-21 win over La Jolla Country Day. No stats were available in the win. Through the first 5 games, Demitri had 45 total tackles, 29 solo, 7 TFL, 5 sacks and 10 QB hurries.

SFCHS takes on Tri-City Christian Friday, 11/3 at 7pm.

John Hightower, WR, Hinds C.C. (Raymond, MS)

Hinds CC is currently 6-1, though I don’t think this accounts for their 10/28 game, which doesn’t yet have a result on their site. Thankfully, Dave Southorn got all the info in his article in the Statesman. Hightower has 9 receptions for 153 yards and 3 TDs this season Hinds. He will hopefully fill the void left by Ced after he graduates. John’s HUDL page is here. His most recently highlights (from 9/21) are below.

I’m not seeing an upcoming game for Hinds, but I imagine they are finishing out games before setting up the playoff schedule.

Stefan Cobbs, WR, Fossil Ridge HS (Keller, TX)

Cobbs’ Panthers are a perfect 8-0, 4-0 in district. They are coming off a 34-13 win over Keller Central on Friday. Stefan had 7 receptions for 74 yards and 4 TDs in the win. He currently has 47 catches for 968 yards and 18 total TDs.

Fossile Ridge takes on Weatherford on Friday, 11/3 at 730pm.

Sorry for the late post. Not a ton of great info this week, but it was nice having a few new faces on here. A solid list of visitors coming up this weekend for the Nevada game. I suspect that we might be adding a couple more. Go Broncos!
