Huge win for the good guys last night! Knocking off a ranked team on the road is awesome. Knocking off the reigning Mountain West Champs is even better. Knocking off the team coached by Rocky Long? THE BEST.

Let’s get to it.

Andrew VanBuren, RB, Caminade HS (West Hills, CA)

Chaminade beat Loyola 37-14 on Friday, improving to 6-1. Right now only defensive stats were kept for the Eagles, and only for a few players. If I can find updated info, I’ll update this post.

Chaminade takes on Alemany on Friday, 10/20 at 7pm.

Scale Igiehon, DT, Del Valle HS (Del Valle, TX)

Del Valle lost to Bowie 23-15 on Friday, dropping to 4-3 on the season. Stats aren’t available for the game. Scale has 27 total tackles, 5 QB hurries and 3 sacks through the first 5 games.

Del Valle takes on San Marcos again on Thursday, 10/19 at 730pm.

Kukea Emmsley, DE, Kapolei HS (Kapolei, HI)

Kapolei lost to Kahuku 7-35 on Friday, moving to 5-6 on the season. I can’t find stats for this game either.

There isn’t another game currently scheduled for Kapolei. I’ll update if I find more info.

Brandon Hawkins, LB, Georgetown HS (Georgetown, TX)

The Eagles wrecked Rouse 49-6 on Friday, improving to 6-1. Stats aren’t yet available in the win. Brandon has 63 tackles, 3 sacks, a blocked field goal and a safety so far in his senior campaign.

Georgetown takes on Cedar Park Friday, 10/20 at 730pm.

Zidane Thomas, RB, Centennial HS (Peoria, AZ)

Centennial’s game against Sierra Linda was cancelled due to Sierra Linda fearing for the safety of their student athletes. I’m not exactly sure why they were fearful, but they are getting a $1500 fine for doing so. Based on the linked article, Centennial’s coach was planning on resting Thomas anyway.

My stats for last week against Shadow Ridge were incorrect. Zidane had 8 carries for 133 yards and a TD. His season totals are as follows: 98 carries for 1,033 yards (10.5 yards per carry) and 12 TDs.

Centennial takes on Willow Canyon on Friday, 10/20 at 7pm.

DJ Schramm, LB, Clovis West HS (Fresno, CA)

Clovis West beat Buchanan 36-17 on Friday, improving to 6-1. Stats were not available in the win.

The Golden Eagles take on Clovis East on Friday, 10/20 at 7pm.

Philip Mills, LB, Paloma Valley HS (Menifee, CA)

Paloma Valley pummeled Lakeside 57-6, moving to 6-1 on the season. Mills had 3 total tackles, 1 pass defended and a QB hurry in the win. Mills has 45 total tackles, 1 interception, 1 sack and 1 fumble recovery on the season.

Paloma Valley will take on Elsinore on October 13th at 7pm.

Zachary Wilson, QB, Corner Canyon HS (Draper, UT)

Corner Canyon remained a perfect 8-0 after defeating Alta 38-21. Based on this article, Wilson did not play and is week to week with a shoulder injury.

Corner Canyon takes on Jordan this Wednesday at 7pm.

Keeghan Freeborn, OG, Rocky Mountain HS (Meridian, ID)

Rocky Mountain took down Eagle 27-9, improving to 6-2. While stats weren’t kept, Keeghan did have some highlights.

Rocky Mountain takes on Centennial this Friday 10/20 at 7pm.

Kekaniokoa Gonzalez, C, Mater Dei HS (Santa Ana, CA)

Mater Dei stayed perfect on the year after beating a solid St John Bosco squad 31-21. Stats aren’t kept for offensive lineman, but the line helped produce 188 yards on the ground and 326 in the air.

Mater Dei takes on JSerra Catholic on Friday, 10/20 at 7pm. Mater Dei is #1 in California and #2 nationally behind IMG Academy.

Cole Ramseyer, TE, Coeur d’Alene HS (Coeur d’Alene, ID)

The Vikings beat Lake City 46-10 on Friday, improving to 6-2 on the season. Unfortunately, only defensive stats were kept for the game. Fortunately, Cole had some highlights.

CDA takes on Post Falls this Friday 10/20 at 7pm.

Not great info this week, so apologies there. A lot of winning records for the future Broncos. I feel like we are nearing another “GO BRONCOS!” tweet soon. I can feel it. Go Broncos!
