Boise State Game Balls for week of October 1st

Sorry for another late one. But here we go!

Game Ball One:

Sierra Nobley (Volleyball)

Last week was a struggle for the Broncos. They fell to the no. 23 ranked Colorado State Rams 3-2. And, then on Saturday, turned around and lost to the Wyoming Cowgirls 3-2. But it was not for Ms. Nobley’s lack of effort as she netted a double-double against the Cowgirls. With Nobley back in the lineup, hopefully the Broncos can get back on the winning track.

Game Ball Two:

Alexander Mattison (football)

A Game Ball for the running backs is long overdue. Mr. Mattison, and the Broncos’ o-line has been having some struggles this season. And, for whatever reason, the Broncos were able to pull it together last Friday against the BYU Cougars to the tune of 118 yards and two touchdowns. Mattison looked good doing what he does and has shown that he’s capable of being the feature back. Now to keep it up.

Game Ball Three:

Emma Chard (swimming)

I don’t know swimming and/or diving all too well. But I know winning. And I know that Ms. Emma Chard does a lot of it in a Bronco uniform. And that’s what she did last Saturday in a dual matchup with the University of Idaho taking away four victories. The Broncos ended up winning 167-122. I am not sure how big of a victory that really was, but I am just going to assume it was a mollywhomp anyway. Any time Broncos can take down the Vandals is a good time in my book.

Game Ball Four:

Bronco Softball (softball)

Well this wasn’t my intent. I wanted to find some recaps from the Bronco Softball team play this weekend. But, wouldn’t you know it, because it is not necessarily their season yet, they don’t have recaps. But I will include these:

The Broncos had a pretty darn good weekend overall against BYU.

Your Turn
