Basketball GameThread: Boise State vs San Diego State

Marco Garcia-USA TODAY Sports

Mush those dogs and get your sled down to TBA if you'd like to see your first-place Broncos (10-4) try to remain unbeaten in conference play as they take on San Diego State (8-6). Fittingly, the game is a white out...and if you don't know what that's supposed to look like, take a gander out your front window. In the Broncos' last outing, they throttled UNLV at the Thomas and Mack Center by a score of 77-59. In the Aztecs last time on the hardwood, they fell to Nevada and are 0-2 in MWC play. I'd say both teams have plenty of motivation to get a win tonight at Taco Bell Arena.

If the Broncos want to stop the Aztecs, they'll need to shut down leading-scorer Jeremy Hemsley, who is averaging 17.2 PPG (not far off Chandler Hutchison's 18.6). The Broncos would also do well to keep an eye on Trey Kell and Zylan Cheatham, who are both averaging double-figures in points per contest. The Aztecs will likely be without 4th leading-scorer Malik Pope, as he battles a back injury. SDSU leads the all-time series 9-4, but the Broncos have won 3 straight against the Aztecs and these games are always close.
