NCAA Football: Colorado State at Boise State Brian Losness-USA TODAY Sports

Kekaula Kaniho committed to the Broncos this weekend while on his official visit. Listed at 5’11 and 170lbs, Kaniho is listed as a 3-star athlete by Rivals. He passed on offers from Hawaii, UNLV, SDSU, Colorado, WSU and Vanderbilt to name a few.

Kaniho has an impressive resumé that includes All-USA Hawaii Defensive Player of the Year. He had 6 interceptions and 5 defensive touchdowns as a senior. He helped propel his Kahuku team to the Hawaii State Championships against Saint Louis, who was lead by QB Tua Tagovailoa, an Alabama commit. The Kahuku defense posted 6 shutouts this year and allowed just 9.9 points per game. He was also voted USAToday Super 25 Top Star for the games on October 20th thru the 22nd. That week Kahuku posted a shutout of Wai’anae 38-0.

He finished his senior season with 26.5 tackles, 3.5 TFL, 6 INTs, 1 fumble caused, 3 fumbles recovered, 7 pass break-ups and 5 defensive touchdowns.

You will hear the word “ball hawk” associated with him A LOT. Welcome to the Blue Kekaula! GO BRONCOS!
