Wake Up, Bronco Nation: A Brett Rypien fan; Boise State soccer and volleyball results

I am a fan too!

NFL: Dallas Cowboys-Training Camp Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

What do you call an acid that is being a bully?

Amino acid.

Kellen Moore is a fan of Brett Rypien

And with plenty good reason. Rypien has been able to keep the “good Washington state QBs” tradition alive at Boise State. Rypien maybe, could, hopefully, do the one thing that Kellen, so far, has not been able to do: be the consistent starter for a team. Rypien has the size and power that Moore didn’t/doesn’t really have. Perhaps Rypien will reach that last hurdle.

Broncos volleyball ends on a sour note in TCU Invitational

They dropped their last match against TCU three straight sets. Sierra Nobley played out of her mind (per usual) but was not enough to overcome the Horned Frogs. Alas this drops the Broncos to 1-2 on the season. Still very early on in the season and lots to learn from.

Soccer didn’t fare too much better either

Somewhat similar to the loss to Seattle University, the Broncos dropped this one in overtime in the 96th minute. At some point this season the Broncos are going to be on the right side of the score with these last-minute decided matches. Be that as it may, these are more learning opportunities for the Broncos as they continue get better.

Former Bronco golfer gets second place at golf tournament

Good for Mr. Ty Travis. The first place purse was $20,000.

Mr. Travis was a transfer from Weber State and competed for two years at Boise State. Nice to see Broncos doing well.

Reminder that the Paralympics are coming

Boise State athlete Roderick Townsend is is competing in the high jump.
