We’ve got another duplicate today. Sean Modster shares his number and we wanted to make sure and highlight him as well since we have no #11. So let’s get the low-down on Sean Modster!

#11 (really #8), Sean Modster, RS Sophomore, WR

Stats:

Height: 5’ 11”

Weight: 190 lbs

High School: Mission Viejo High School, Mission Viejo, CA

How'd he get to the Blue™?

Modster passed on an offer from Colorado to come play on the Blue. He was listed as a 3-star receiver by Scout, ESPN and Rivals. Yeah, it’s CU, but they’re still a P12 school and that can be tough to pass up.

Nickname

I can’t think of anything else.

Career Highlights

As a senior at MVHS, he caught 37 passes for 783 yards and 13 TDs, earning him All-South Coast League Offensive MVP.

Last year as a red shirt freshman at Boise State, Sean caught 3 passes for 39 yards. HE is expected to fill a larger role this year.

2016 Prospectus

Sperbeck and Anderson will be two of the three starters. Everything I have read and seen states that Wilson will be our third. That settles that.

However, the second team receivers will see PLENTY of playing time, and Modster is expected to compete there with Richardson, Cottrell and Butler. Jefferson, Carter, Ogbebor and Pope will be in the mix for sure. I full expect, though, for Modster to get a healthy set of targets and completions this season.

Heaven forbid that anyone get injured, but many of the back-ups, including Modster, saw a lot of the field last season, so if they were to get called up, we would be in reasonably good hands. Not Sperbeck good hands, but few are Sperbeck-good.

Is he on Twitter?

He is...

...and he is a furious retweeter, but does not post often himself as you can tell by the date.

Completely made up fact

Growing up, Sean enjoyed watching reruns of both The Mod Squad and The A-Team. So much so that he and his brother, Devon, decided to film their own show, The Mod Team. Their mother quickly put a stop to it when Devon super glued Sean to the top of the car to film a driving scene when they were 10.
