What did the t-shirt vendor say to the psychic?
“What are you, a medium?”
Boise State volleyball picked to finish second
The Broncos also make three appearances on the preseason team, the most of any school in the Mountain West. The preseason team only comprises seven individuals, so the Broncos with as many as they did is a pretty big deal. Sierra Nobley (JR), Maddy (SR) O’Donnell, and Maddi Osburn (JR) are going to keep the momentum going from their successful 2015 campaign. Sierra Nobley was also selected the Mountain West Conference Preseason Player of the Year. Ms. Nobley represented the Broncos when team MWC visited Europe to play in an international tournament. She’s kind of good at this.
Here is the Bronco Cross Country schedule
Allie Ostrander will be picking up where she left off and will be dominating her field. There are only four tournaments, then the Mountain West Conference Championships here in Idaho. Kuna to be more specific. Afterwards we get treated to Ostrander dominating the NCAA Regionals and Nationals. And, well, all of the other Boise State racers too. Should be an exciting season for the Cross Country team.
Side note: Does Utah State think they’re fooling anyone by calling one of their invitationals the “Aggie Invitational” and the other the “Utah State Invitational”? I guess two road trips to Utah State is not a bad thing.
Jay Ajayi won’t give up his number
Good for Ajayi. Has to make sure that he will not get pushed around. Course, no. 27 may be open soon. Would Ajayi be willing to move to that?
Kurt Felix in eighth after the first day of the decathlon
Not too bad. If you have ever wondered how these things are scored, here is a pretty cool article describing how things are scored and points are measure. In short: running is worth more points than throwing.
Pro Football Focus with Boise State no. 14
Yes, it is the same site that has Kenny Potter of San Jose State rated higher than Brett Rypien. But it is all good. The team getting good praise is still always a plus.
Former Bronco basketballer Coby Karl now a coach
It is a nice thing to see that Boise State alums are getting these opportunities.
Sources: Lakers are hiring Coby Karl, son of George Karl, as head coach of the L.A. D-Fenders in D-League. Karl was Westchester assistant.

The D-League will be a good place for Karl to earn his coaching chops. Who knows, he may be the next Phil Jackson!
