Boise State numerical roster countdown 2016: Day 19, Sean Wale

NCAA Football: Boise State at San Jose State Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

We are now under 20 days until Bronco football. If we are being exact, it’s 19 days. That means we are going to catch up on senior punter #19 Sean Wale.

#19, Sean Wale, RS Senior, P

Stats:

Height: 6’ 2”

Weight: 193 lbs (+8)

High School: La Habra HS, La Habra, CA

How'd he get to the Blue™?

Sean was a big deal coming out of California. He was a member Chris Sailer Kicking top 12 as both a sophomore and a junior. He was also first-team all-area, first-team All-CIF and first-team all-county. That’s a lot of first-teams. He averaged 47.5 yards per punt as a senior.

It’s no secret that Sean is good at what he does.

Career Highlights

Sean has had a solid career at Boise State. He has had 139 punts for 5, 828 yard for an average of 41.9 yards per punt. He has a long of 63, 49 inside the 20 yard line and 30 that have gone over 50 yards.

2016 Prospectus

It’s safe to say that Sean has the starting punter job on lock-down. There is not another punter listed on the roster, but Joel Velasquez is listed as his back-up. I’d love to keep Joel’s red shirt intact, but he is also listed as Rausa’s back-up on the roster. I think Joel is going to be busy in the next couple years.

Is he on Twitter?

He’s very supportive of other Bronco athletes, specifically gymnastics.

Completely made up fact

Sean is a big fan of rap music, specifically Wale. They have an understanding.
