It's watch list season and the watchin' has been good to the Broncos thus far. Yesterday, as you know, The Weapon and The Rypien landed on the Maxwell Award watch list and today, junior tight end Jake Roh got watch'd...this time by the folks that hand out the Mackey Award. As you've probably gathered, the Mackey Award is handed out annually to the best collegiate tight end in the nation and as of this morning, Roh is considered at least one of the top 45 players at his position in the country. Over the last two seasons, Roh has been the picture of consistency—hauling in 68 passes for 765 yards and 3 TDs and also growing one of the better beards on the team.
That's just one day's growth.
Last season he was named to the All-MWC second team for his catchin', runnin', and scorin'. The last Bronco to land on the Mackey watch list was Gabe Linehan in 2013 and he probably got a commemorative tattoo to mark the occasion.
Go Jake! Get hardware!
