Wake up, Bronco Nation! Academic excellence continues for BSU athletes, Sperbeck is a beast (still)

Adding to a previous report of academic excellence

We had indicated, in a prior report, the Boise State athletes that had made the All-Mountain West academic team, but that list was only a representation of summer and spring sports. This list shows the 84 Bronco athletes that earned the Mountain West Scholar-Athlete award. This is a bit different because it requires a GPA of 3.5 or higher and includes all sports. To recap, we had EIGHTY FOUR athletes with a 3.5 GPA...or higher. Excellent!

Sports Illustrated has placed Thomas Sperbeck on their Top 100 list

#97 is a little (a lot) further back than I would have placed the 9th most productive wide receiver in college football last year, and a former Fiesta Bowl MVP, but at least he’s on there. I expect this national perspective will drastically change by the end of this season, as I fully anticipate a huge year from Mr. Sperbeck, and the rest of the offense.

I’m equally impressed and hurt that we never got to see this side of you in college, Silverback Nance

Armand Nance, the former FB/TE turned defensive tackle that was so beloved by Bronco nation has transitioned his talents back to the other side of the ball—as can be seen on this run. Well run, sir!

Happy Birthday to the other QB named Brett that wears a ‘4’

...and my favorite one, if we’re being honest.
