Bronco wrestling gets their man
Mike Mendoza spent the last 6 seasons as the head coach at Cal-State Bakersfield (also his alma mater), and will replace Greg Randall to become just the 3rd head wrestling coach at Boise State in the last 44 years(!) CSUB competes in the Pac-12 in wrestling just like Boise State, but resource-wise aren't at quite the level the Broncos are. Despite the fiscal differences, however, Bakersfield went 11-4 last season and had a Pac-12 best 4-1 league dual record. Conversely, the Broncos had fallen on hard times on the mat of late, going 9-26-1 in duals the last 3 seasons under Randall. Change can be good and the young Mendoza looks like the shot in the arm the Broncos need at this time. Welcome, coach.
