Wake Up, Bronco Nation: Correa ascends; Goodale is funny; Oscar winners

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

It's Monday.

Dan Goodale has jokes

When he isn't making pretty impressive basketball shots, he's making fun Anthony Drmic.

His basketball game is quite strong for being a former kicker.

Kamalei Correa impresses at NFL Combine

Which is a no-brainer. Again, only time will tell regarding his transition from defensive end to outside linebacker but it will be good to see him on a roster.

Dereck Boles is dismissed from football team

Sophomore Boles, a probable starter at DT, was dismissed over the weekend for violating team rules. Boles' departure leaves the Broncos with just 2 scholarship returners on the interior D-line. Fantastic.

Martinez, Castillo top the podium at Pac-12 championships

Sophomore Geordan Martinez won his second Pac-12 title in as many tries (and extended his win streak to 17) and senior Chris Castillo finally took the top prize after battling Arizona State's Oliver Pierce through SIX overtimes to clinch the title and a trip to New York for the NCAA Championships. Boise State finished 5th as a team.

Idaho's Jace Malek dies from cancer

This is a heart-breaking ending to what was a good story. Cancer is such a frustrating, awful thing that you never want to see someone have to deal with it in general, let alone pass away. Send positive thoughts his family's way.

Mad Max won big at the Oscars

And Leonardo Dicaprio finally won his for Best Actor. Good for him. Took him a while, and some good performances, to get to where he is now. Did anyone partake? Any surprises, pleasant or otherwise?

Miscellinkeous

How to do simple things in a completely useless way.
