The day we have all been waiting for. Friday! So let us enjoy this day and celebrate with some links!!
James Webb only has a MCL sprain and bruised knee
Per a release from Boise State athletics.
Is good, yeah? From the #BoiseState SID. pic.twitter.com/emH49T5aAp

Which is good. No surgery. Doubtful Webb makes many more appearances in the regular season since they can no longer win the conference regular season and as long as they finish fifth they get a first round bye. At this point it is all about him resting up and getting his knee back to some workable shape. Hopefully he'll be good to go come conference tourney time and the Broncos can make a run.
Other than returning this season, the speculation will turn to whether or not Webb will go pro. My personal opinion is: yes, he will go. He may not necessarily make an NBA roster his first year out of college but he can probably go to Europe, Asia, or Australia to put some work in. He's good enough to start making money off his efforts and this physical scare will probably be his incentive to getting that pro money.
State of Idaho legislature passes resolution honoring Matt Paradis
And it is pretty awesome. Matt Paradis' story about coming from small-town Council, Idaho, walking on to the Boise State team, making an NFL roster, and winning a Super Bowl?
Incredible stuff really.
Legislation just passed a resolution to honor @BroncoSportsFB alumnus and @Broncos Super Bowl champion Matt Paradis. pic.twitter.com/4GrWHaE3K0

Congratulations to Mr. Paradis on everything. Here's to more Super Bowl wins!! (Just not with the Denver Broncos please!)
Speaking of those "other" Broncos, Denver wants to keep Clady
This past Super Bowl was the second that Clady missed due to injury. Luckily he DIDN'T play in the first one since it was a shellacking. Too bad he wasn't in this one to really "earn" that ring. But he's still an all-pro and able to contribute but it looks as though he may have to cough up some money to stay. Which is understandable considering his staying-power is tenuous at best. Here is to him staying healthy and continuing to draw that NFL-sized paycheck.
Anthony Drmic getting some good press as he starts to find his groove
Which is great for him. He deserves it after the career he's had at Boise State and the crappy way he's fallen off the wagon. With his resurgence hopefully the Broncos are able to get something going as the clock runs out. Webb getting hurt certainly does not help, but if both are back and able-bodied come the conference tourney, they may just stand a chance against San Diego State.
Someone hates Boise State
And that someone--err--people apparently is the State of Hawaii.

Did they get Idaho's correct? Probably. Nevada and Alaska hating Alabama is... different. Curious where that comes from. And Montana hating University of Washington and not the in-state Grizz or the Bobcats is kind of weird. Unless it is about FBS schools. Just cool to see Boise State inflicting enough pain and anguish on a fan base to warrant the most hate.
Boise State gymnasts in action tonight
Look for the #11 Broncos (8-0; 3-0 MRGC) to continue their win streak and put away the Utah State Aggies (4-5, 2-1 MRGC). If you are wanting to watch the meet click here for the Aggies' stream. hopefully the women can put it away early so I don't get all nervous, and such, on a Friday night!!
Broncos competing in some other sports as well
Bronco's softball team is in the Mary Nutter Classic all weekend. They'll be facing the likes of Loyola Marymount, New Mexico State, and Stanford (among a few others). They are struggling mightily as of late. Have yet to record a win on an eleven-game losing streak. Hopefully they can find their mojo and get something good to happen over the weekend.
Men's tennis going to Alabama for a tournament. The Broncos look to rebound from a 6-1 loss to Oregon. Not sure who they face as of yet but click here if you are so inclined to stay abreast of their efforts.
Men's and women's basketball hit the court. Women tip off at 2 p.m. at Taco Bell Arena. The women are on a painful four game losing streak. San Diego State better be wary of the Broncos out for a getting out of this slump! The men face San Diego State in San Diego at 4 p.m. With Webb (probably) out, and the Aztecs already having won the Mountain West regular season, the Broncos just need to limp along to the tournament and win that to see the NCAA. You can watct the game on CBS Sports. You can also follow live stats here.
The wrestling team has the Pac-12 championships this weekend.
Many things to keep track of over the weekend. The Broncos should be able to walk away with some quality wins.
Miscellinkeous
It is Friday folks. This is me in anticipation for the weekend. Make it a good one!
