Former Boise State wrestlers earn Pac-12 All-Century awards

You will remember me! For centurieeeeees!!!

Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

And that is... kind of a big deal.

Only 28 guys were good enough to make this list and Boise State was able to snag two of them.

The wrestlers are Ben Cherrington, (2002-2006)—157 lbs and Kirk White, (1997-2001)—165 lbs.

From the Boise State sports information department: White finished his career with a 114-21 record and netted an NCAA title. White won the NCAA championship going a whopping 38-1 that year! White also has the distinction of entering Boise State's Hall of Fame in 2007.

Cherrington went 93-32 for his collegiate career, going 20-0 his senior year (his year was shortened by injury) that also saw him wrestle away an NCAA title.

White and Cherrington are the only Boise State wrestlers (so far) to attain such NCAA notoriety.

The wrestling team was down this year. Only 3-9 overall and 1-4 in the Pac-12. But hopefully they will be able to get back to the heyday of Bronco wrestling and we get to see some more names added to this already prestigious list.

Congratulations to Mr. Cherrington and Mr. White. They've really set the bar for what is attainable by Boise State athletes!
