Final: Boise State 70 Utah State 67
Talk about a close game. The Broncos trailed the ENTIRE game, well, all but the last minute. But that was the minute that counted.
The Broncos had yet another off night tonight, and the Aggies were on it. Broncos had a rough go from the 3 point line all night. The Aggies seemed to drop every single one of them. The Aggies finished shooting 12-22 (54.4%) from the 3-pt line and 25-50 (50%) from the field. The Broncos had a questionable first half, but never gave up in the second. The Aggies finished the last 2:49 without a basket and the Broncos finished the game.
Webb had 17 second half points to go along with just 2 in the first. His 19 points paired with 9 rebounds earned him the player of the game. And despite being hobbled very early, Drmic was solid all night, finishing with 12 points, 6 rebounds and an assist. Thompson finished with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists.
What a crazy night though. To trail literally the whole game, but come back and seal the deal in the waning moments. The first half was definitely forgettable, but with how they played defensively the second half, it made up for it.
Next up, the Broncos travel to Air Force on the 6th.
