As the swimming and diving season winds down for the Broncos, they have been voted as co-favorites to win the MWC championships next February 17-20. The Broncos have tied with Nevada with three first place votes and 73 points overall. San Diego State was voted third, but also had three first place votes. Wyoming was voted fourth and also nabbed a first place vote.
The Broncos went 9-4 on the season in duals beating teams such as Idaho, BYU, Utah (twice), and Oregon State. Of the meets they dropped included: Florida Gulf Coast, Nevada, and UCLA.
The Broncos and the San Diego Aztecs have traded places winning the championships the last four years. Broncos with wins in 2012 and 2014 while Aztecs won 2013 and 2015. Nevada finished third in 2014 and 2015.

Some names to look for: Emma Chard who has the MWC top time in the 200 freestyle. Sam Wicks with a top time in the 100 and 200 backstroke. Brittany Aoyama with the Mountain West top time in the 100 butterfly.
After the MWC championships, the Broncos have Zone E Diving Championships from March 7th through the 9th. Then the NCAA championships March 18th through the 20th.
