Another week of sprots, another week of Game Balls! Let’s get to it.
Game Ball One:
Chandler Hutchison (basketball)

Mr. Hutchison has become a standout for the Broncos this season. Really having developed from last season. While last week was a bit rough for the Broncos (one win sandwiched between two losses) he’s been able to contribute mightily. 21 points against SMU and 19 against Evansville. He’s taken a big leadership roll this year and it has shown. Congratulations Mr. Hutchison.
Game Ball Two:
Sierra Nobley (volleyball)

In an historic season for the Broncos, Ms. Nobley came through big-time for the Broncos. While Stanford was just too much, Ms. Nobley’s performances through the NCAA run can not be understated. With that said, Nobley will be a senior next year and will, most likely, go down as one of the best Broncos to put on the uniform.
Congratulations Ms. Nobley!
Game Ball Three:
Brittany Aoyama (swimming)

The Broncos used a solid performance by Ms. Aoyama to beat the Utah Utes over the weekend 174-126. She notched four wins over the course of the meet. She won three individual races (50 and 100m free, and 100 fly) and was part of a relay win (400 free relay). The senior looks to end her Bronco-career on a high, and winning, note. Congratulations Ms. Aoyama!
Game Ball Four:
Marijke Vanderschaaf (basketball)

Broncos put together six strong wins (reminder: this is for last weeks games). And Ms. Vanderschaaf is a key piece. Against Eastern Washington, the Broncos blew a 17 point lead, but did escap with a 67-64 victory. Vanderschaaf racked up a double-double in the perfomance with 11 points and 10 rebounds and a mean 7-8 on free throws. The redshirt Sophomore is a solid constant on the court, and looks to be only getting better.
Congratulations Ms. Vanderschaaf!
