While school may be in winter break, there are still athletes on the court. To that end, the Broncos’ basketball teams did some stuff last weekend. Let us review some highlights!
Game Ball One:
Riley Lupfer (basketball)

Ms. Brooke Pahukoa was out all of last week. So the true freshman, Ms. Riley Lupfer, stepped in admirably. Lupfer had a team-high 19 points on 5-10 shooting from beyond the arc against Portland. She also added an assist and two steals to her totals. The City of Threes lives on! The win also captured Head Coach Gordy Presnell’s 600th win. So it was kind of a big deal.
Congratulations Ms. Lupfer.
Game Ball Two:
Chandler Hutchison (basketball)

Mr. Chandler Hutchison is showing his progression into an integral part of the Boise State lineup. Against California State Northridge he put up a nice double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. He also added an assist and two steals. He is getting better and it is showing.
Congratulations Mr. Hutchison.
Game Ball Three:
Austin Dewey (wrestling)

At the Reno Tournament of Champions Mr. Dewey placed a Bronco-best second. He had put down four opposing wrestlers before falling to Oregon State’s Jordan Rogers in a decision. In the first year of Head Coach Mike Mendoza’s run, getting solid performances will be crucial.
Congratulations Mr. Dewey.
