Boise State opponent has a unique coaching situation
Seriously unique. I can’t actually remember a time I can recall this same thing happening.
Dylan Sumner-Gardner dismissed from team
This is an escalation of the news yesterday that DSG would not be playing in the bowl game, due to injury. A shame, but it seems telling that the university still covered his surgery and will assist with his rehab. That’s as much as an affirmation as one can get that they still care about the guy and want him to succeed. It will be interesting to see what he ends up doing. Sadly, however, that thing will no longer be playing football for Boise State.
On that note, two other players semi-notably did not make the trip with the team: Redshirt freshman DB, Robert Lewis and local walk-on RB, Jake Roper. Lewis’s punishment stems from an undisclosed violation of team rules, and Roper’s absence is due to his transferring from Boise State. No details available yet as to where that transfer may take him.

Pretty cool that the Broncos are practicing at the former high school of Jake Roh. Clearly he hasn’t been forgotten.

Jay Ajayi is apparently overtly British again
If his present accent is any indication, the pendulum seems to have swung back from “Sounds like every other, normal, lame American” to either “I visited home and realized how much cooler us Brits sound” or—more boring, but also more likely—”I was advised by my agent that my accent makes me more marketable”. That last one is important though, because he’s well on his way to being a big star in the league. Just last week he broke 1,000 yards for the season. Pretty awesome considering he didn’t begin the year as the starter.

Miscellinkious
...or don’t. Because it’s the North Pole out there (if you’re in Boise )
