Basketball GameThread: Boise State vs Idaho State

Brian Losness-USA TODAY Sports

It's an old-school Big Sky battle today at the Pavilion Taco Bell Arena as your Broncos take on the visiting Bengals of Idaho State. The Broncos haven't played in nearly two weeks after narrowly sliding past Loyola-Marymount on December 5th, but they aren't to blame for the layoff, as they were supposed to have a tussle against Portland on the 10th that got delayed due to inclement weather. So, the Broncos will get a chance to knock the rust off today against a struggling (3-8) Bengals team before taking on the equally meh Cal State-Northridge Matadors on Wednesday.

The Big Sky and Big West foes, respectively, will be the Broncos last tune up games before starting conference play against Utah State on the 28th. The Broncos shouldn't have much trouble with the visiting Bengals, but they will if they don't shut down junior guard Ethan Telfair, who was last season's Big Sky Newcomer of the Year and one of only 11 players in the country this season to record a triple-double.

How to watch

If you aren't able to make it down to TBA (and OBNUG will NOT, unfortunately), the game will be streamed live on twitter as well as through the Mountain West Network HERE. If you don't like watching basketball, but LOVE listening to basketball, you could always tune your radio dial (do radios still have dials?) to 670 KBOI.

The line

OBNUG does not promote gambling, but as a public service you should know that the Broncos are 15 point favorites if you were to indulge in such vices.
