I’m sure you’re all plenty aware that recruiting season is in full-swing, what with the influx of verbal commitments in the last couple of days. What you might not have known is that today is the first day of the early-signing period, in which mid-year JC enrollees and intrepid high school students can hop aboard the Bronco train early. The first such early-signee was just announced, and it’ll be a new name to many recruiting-watchers. JC offensive tackle Zach Troughton (@Tunk52) is the first guy on the Bronco board and the 6’5” 310 pounder out of Butte CC should provide immediate help on an O-line that is losing 3 starters after the bowl game.
OFFICIAL: Welcome OL Zach Troughton (@Tunk52) to #BroncoNation! The Future is Now! #ATF17 pic.twitter.com/gEaeWS9wcU

Troughton was a JC All-American last season at Butte CC (alma mater of Thomas Stuart AND Aaron Rodgers) and as you can see from this side-by-side with Mr. Stuart is a rather large gentleman.

Zach was a visitor on campus last weekend and apparently Boise made a big impact on an even bigger man, leading him to choose the Broncos over offers from Hawaii, Utah State, and South Florida. Welcome aboard, Zach!
