Did you hear about the turkey that joined the band?

He had his own drum sticks.

Sierra Nobley named Mountain West Conference offensive player of the week

Well-deserved honor for the Junior Outside Hitter. She’s been a big reason the Broncos have won their second-ever conference title. I have a feeling her, and a few other Broncos, are going to get a lot of end-of-year awards.

Speaking of the volleyball team, this Sunday, on ESPNU, they will be broadcasting the NCAA volleyball tournament selections. You can see where the Broncos will be going as they move on to the post-season.

Coach Leon Rice had puppies at his birthday

Ummm. What?

Clearly my invite to said party was lost in the mail because HOW AWESOME IS THAT!? Those look to be some very good dogs there.

Very good dogs.

Kickers gonna kick

This is the first part of the next installment of the “1-0” series.

Going to miss you Sean Wale.

Boise State now with the second-highest win percentage in FBS

Not sure if the wins vacated by the NCAA for Notre Dame will last the appeal, but the company around Boise State is not-too-shabby.

Have to like the Broncos’ chances of staying in second place. Or, if Notre Dame does eventually get those back, Boise State eventually taking back the second place slot.

Scott Huff named to the Broyles Award

Best top assistant coach in the country nominee. While I certainly think he is deserving, anyone have any thoughts to Andy Avalos getting the nod? (I had asked that same question on Twitter.)

I feel both Huff and Avalos will get their respective shots at being a head coach. And soon.

Welcome aboard new Broncos. I now expect to see a lot of accomplishments and hardware to be added to the trophy case!
