As the regular season comes to a close this Friday for the Bronco soccer team, the Mountain West Conference has honored Janelle Flores with another player of the week honor.
This marks the fifth time that the Bronco junior has won the award in her career, second time this season, and (so far) the only athlete to have won either a defensive player of the week, or offensive, for a second time. Some pretty rare air.
The Broncos and the Utah State Aggies are tied for fourth place headed into the conference tournament. The teams meet this Friday fo figure out the final seeding. The Aggies are 6-4 in conference play, while the Broncos are 5-2-3.
The Broncos are looking to close out the regular season on a good note and send the seniors out with a win. If Ms. Flores is able to keep her great play at the current level, the Broncos have a great shot at making some waves in the tournament and snagging a win.
Congratulations to Ms. Janelle Flores.
