After a solid win and a huge recruiting weekend, the Broncos are on a roll with 2 commitments in 5 minutes. 3* safety Tyreque Jones out of San Gorgonio High School in San Bernardino was one of them.

Rivals has him listed as a 3* safety while Scout has him as a 2* CB. He’s 6’3” and 200lbs, so I would think he lines up at safety for the Broncos. He turned down offers from BYU, Colorado State, Utah State, Nevada, New Mexico, UNLV and Idaho to become a Bronco. I’d say he’s made the right choice.
In his highlight tape, he also lines up at CB, so we can, at worst, pencil him in as a DB. Based on our history of who we have line up where, our CBs are usually in the 6’ or below range, while our safeties are a bit bigger. He’s a solid tackler and will lay the wood as needed.
He is also quite the scholar, currently with above a 3.5 GPA.

As a senior, Tyreque currently has 12 carries for 80 yards, 12 receptions for 235 yards and 2 TDs, 25 tackles, 18 of them solo, 2 INTs and 5 passes defended. Really a solid pickup for the Broncos! Welcome to Bronco Nation Tyreque!
