The one thing about stringing together some solid wins is that it takes great effort from individuals to make sure those wins are realized. Currently, the Boise State volleyball team is on a four-match winning streak that involves 3-0 set sweeps in every single match.
So that must mean that Boise State has some individuals that are putting together some great performances, and they are being recognized as such!
The Broncos, as a whole, have been able to do something quite impressive since opening up the conference slate at 2-2. Behind the veteran leadership of Senior Maddy O’Donnell and Junior Maddi Osburn the Broncos have been able to stay within striking distance of first place Colorado State and second place UNLV.
As for Osburn, she currently leads the Mountain West Conference in digs per match (5.04 digs/match). O’Donnell is in fifth for blocks with 1.28 blocks/match.
This is the first time O’Donnell has been recognized by the MWC with a player of the week award, while Ms. Osburn has been noted three times.
Congratulations to both of these deserving Broncos.
