Boise State soccer gets a Player of the Week award

Not to be outdone in the weekly accolades, the Boise State women’s soccer team added another weekly award to the school coffers. A busy week for the Broncos ended in a couple solid conference wins.

Ms. Janelle Flores, she of OBNUG Game Balls fame, has been tabbed as the Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the week.

What really sparked this recognition was her performance in the San Jose State game where she made 11 saves on 25 shots on goal. A gutsy record-setting performance for the Bronco.

Flores already has had quite the career at Boise State, adding another one of these awards to an already impressive mantle to make it four total.

To date, the only other Bronco to make a weekly soccer award is Freshman from Meridian, Idaho Raimee Sherle. To which, considering Sherle’s impressive output thus far, is kind of shocking that both of these awards did not go to Broncos.
