McNichols out to ‘prove something’
Absent his services vs Utah State last year, Boise State has a bigger, better McNichols in the backfield this time around
NOTE: The Statesman paywall doesn’t stay up all the time. Seems like it may have reset again for the month. Go get you some of that Katz cat’s writing skills.
Revenge is never a dull theme
And, if I’m being honest, I’m looking forward to some today.
Key position-group matchup in today’s game
The d-line has been an extremely pleasant surprise so far this season. They’ll get a great test vs an extremely experienced Utah State line.
Players to watch and keys to the game
An excellent breakdown by The Beej.
Caldwell wants more from D-line
A likewise excellent piece by the same.
Looking ahead
If you missed the BYU/Toledo game last night, it actually was legitimately exciting—and not just because Mack Brown, the color commentator, left halfway through the 2nd half. I was actually ‘rooting’ (for strength of schedule purposes only!) for BYU, however, I don’t know that I’ve ever seen less defense in a game since the 2011 Alamo Bowl. The takeaway: BYU’s defense looks like a great candidate for a few of our offensive players to break some single-game records.

Whitney: “Yes you do!”
Hahaha!
This is Boise State HB Jeremy McNichols. He is our top-graded back in college football so far and is a big reason why the Broncos are 3-0. pic.twitter.com/0Vv16DGEtV
