Final: Boise State 84, Colorado State 80
First Half
The Broncos were red hot in the first half—shooting 50% from the floor and holding the Rams to just 38%. Drmic was the hot hand in the first stanza leading all scorers with 14 pts at the break, including 3 triples. At the break, the Broncos also held a slight rebound edge, 19-16. All told, the Rams led for exactly zero minutes in the first half and went to the locker room trailing 42-28. Would the 2nd half be kinder to the Fort Collins cagers?
Second half
Well, you've seen the final score so you probably already know the answer to this question. CSU made an impressive run to start the 2nd half...hitting 6 of their first 7 three-pointers and the Bronco lead dwindled all the way to 2 points late in the game. Fortunately, the Broncos stayed alive with some clutch performances of their own. James Webb finished the game leading all scorers with 28 points and was just one rebound from a double-double. Colorado State was led by Antwan Scott, who chipped in 24.
