Conference play is upon us and the Broncos hope to leave the gate hotter than last season's 0-3 start. Of course, how you finish is a tad more important but a little January momentum can go a long way. Colorado State, who coincidentally opened the Broncos conference slate last season (and were ranked at the time) find themselves at Taco Bell Arena (lovingly dubbed the Taco Ballerina but Nuggies) to open the 2016 MWC schedule. The Rams are 8-5 and will be without top-scorer Gian Clavell, who broke his hand and may miss the remainder the season. The Clavell injury is no small one for the Rams, as he'd averaged over 20 ppg in the first 10 games of the season. Boise State (9-4) only has losses to ranked teams (and one notable win over one) but have a tendency to play to the level of their opponents as the UC-Davis game seemed to show. Will Leon Rice finally have settled on a adequate rotation that can bring the Broncos offense and defense AT THE SAME TIME! Tune in to ESPN3 to find out. OBNUG is courtside live-tweeting the proceedings as well, so stay tuned.
Oh, and GO BRONCOS!
