2016 Boise State Recruit Roundup: September 20th, 2015

Each week we will take a look at how the current commits did in their final season of high school football!

Brian Losness-USA TODAY Sports

The Broncos bounced back this week with the complete destruction of the Bengals. They had their opportunities, but never capitalized. Unfortunately, we may have lost Finley for the season. We haven't had any official word yet on the extent of the injury, but you have to imagine that it will be extensive with the burning of Rypien's red shirt. To say I was impressed would be an understatement. Harsin said in the post-game interviews they have run the no huddle all season. Rypien was the first QB that I felt ACTUALLY ran it, and very effectively at that. BUT, we aren't here to talk about our current Broncos, but the future ones!

Unfortunately, we had a flip this week, and I think we all saw it coming. Derrion Grim decommitted from the Broncos and jumped on the Nebraska offer he'd received not too long ago. We wish him the best of luck in his future, but the spot won't remain open long. I have to think the coaches go all-in on Bubba Ogbebor, but that's just me.

Nick Crabtree, TE, Huntington Beach HS (Huntington Beach, CA)

The Oilers lost a close one on Friday to Moorpark 41-38, dropping to 1-3 on the season. There were no stats for Nick in the loss. In fact, it looks like there was only one completion in the entire game for the Oilers, though they had 335 yards on the ground. They play Animo South Los Angeles this Thursday.

Damarea Crockett, RB, Little Rock Christian Academy (Little Rock, AR)

The Warriors stayed perfect on the season after dismantling Jacksonville 49-13 on Friday. Crockett finished with 7 carries for 61 yards and 1 offensive TD along with an 88 yard kickoff return for a TD. LRCA takes on Farmington on Friday.

Tyson Maeva, ILB, Cathedral Catholic High School (San Diego, CA)

CCHS lost another one, this time to Helix 37-7. That puts the Dons at 1-3 on the season. No stats are available for Tyson. The Dons play at Liberty on Friday.

Reid Harrison-Ducros, CB, Heritage High School (Colleyville,TX)

Heritage dropped one to Bowie on Friday 42-27, moving to 2-2 on the season. Reid had 5 tackles, one interception and an on-side kick recovery. The Panthers face Trinity this Thursday.

Desmond Williams, OLB, Centennial High School (Corona, CA)

The Huskies also won their game against Notre Dame 52-0, staying undefeated at 4-0. No stats were available for Desmond. Centennial has a bye this week, but will return to action against Valencia on Friday, October 2nd.

Ezra Cleveland, OT, Bethel HS (Spanaway, WA)

Bethel pulled out the win over Puyallup on Friday 47-41, staying perfect on this season. No stats are available for Ezra. the Braves play Rogers on Friday.

Julian Carter, WR, Saguaro High School (Scottsdale, AZ)

Saguaro blanked Westwood Friday 49-0 moving to 3-2. Julian had 2 receptions for 37 yards and 1 TD. Saguaro has a week off, returning to action October 2nd against Mountain Ridge.

Robert Mahone, RB, Prosper High School (Prosper, TX)

Robert was in town for the Idaho State game as his Eagles are on a bye. They play Sherman this Friday.

Kole Bailey, OT, Twin Falls High School (Twin Falls, ID)

Twin Falls lost their first game of the season on Friday to Hillcrest 26-14. No stats are available for Kole. The Bruins play Burley on Friday.

Robert Lewis, CB, Hawkins High School (Los Angeles, CA)

The Hawks are a perfect 4-0 on the season after a 46-0 shutout of Compton. Stats are not yet available for Robert. The Hawks play Rancho Dominguez on Friday.

Chase Hatada, DT, Rocklin High School (Rocklin, CA)

The Thunder beat Sacramento 28-17 to improve to 3-1 without Chase as he is out with an injury. Rocklin has the week off, traveling to Oak Ridge on October 2nd to resume play.

Micah Wilson, QB, Lincoln Christian High School (Tulsa, OK)

The Bulldogs are 3-0 on the season after a 46-0 shutout of Oklahoma Christian. Micah was 13-19 for 247 yards and 2 TDs. He also had 4 carries for 36 yards and one more TD, bringing his total to 283 yards and 3 TDs. LCHS travels to Verdigris this Friday.

It was the week of shutouts I guess! The Broncos post a shut out as well as 4 future Broncos. Hopefully this trend continues... GO BRONCOS!
