Two days left, everybody. I think we're actually gonna make it. Seeing as we have just the 2 days left until football nirvana, let's take a look at a player that technically will wear the Ajayi-esque #27, but since I didn't know that when I set the countdown schedule, well we'll pretend he's #2 (Jonathon Moxey's new number)—Donzale Roddie
#2 (27), Donzale Roddie, True Freshman, CB
Stats
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 190 lbs.
High School: Paramount High School, Paramount, CA
How'd he get to The Blue™?
By spurnin' the Utes (the best thing you can do to the Utes beside thumping them in a bowl game). Roddie committed to Utah last April and appeared Pac-12 bound for a spell, until falling out of love and re-opening his recruitment and eventually going from red to blue—he's our very own electoral map! Roddie was a two-way standout at Paramount High, where he starred at DB and WR. As a senior, Roddie hauled in 28 passes for 611 yards and 9 scores—helping lead his squad to the CIF Southern Section quarterfinals, and also made 52 tackles and picked off 3 passes. As a junior, Roddie snagged 30 passes for 514 yards and 7 TDs and then made 36 stops on defense with an INT. After his senior season, Roddie was selected to play in the DBGuru All-Star game alongside fellow Bronco frosh Tyler Horton and netted a unanimous 3-star rating from the "big 3" recruiting services. The #25 CB in the west (according to Scout.com) chose the Broncos over schools like Colorado, Utah and Wyoming.

Career highlights
Rated a unanimous 3-star recruit by Scout, Rivals/Yahoo! and 247 recruiting services after senior season. Helped lead Paramount to CIF Southern Section Quarterfinals as a senior in 2014. Rated 80th best overall player in state of California as a senior. Hauled in 58 passes for over 1,100 yards and 16 TDs in last two prep seasons. Racked up over 80 tackles and 4 INTs in same span.
2015 prospectus
The Broncos signed a boatload of DBs in the 2015 class (well, a dinghy-load at least) and all are going to play a big part in the success of this Bronco defense—some just sooner than others. Currently, it looks like Tyler Horton is the only one of the '15 haul that will definitely see the field this year, but if I had to guess I'd say Roddie and Darreon Jackson are close behind. Roddie, at 5'10" 190 lbs., came in considerably bigger than I thought he'd report and at the fall scrimmage looked very scrappy and aggressive to the ball. I think we're probably one CB injury from a second true frosh entering the two-deep and that's when I'd think Roddie, and certainly Jackson enter that discussion. Whether Roddie gets his feet wet this fall or next, I think he'll be a solid 4 year contributor for the Broncos when his eligibility clock begins and could be a nice cog in a secondary that looks to be very solid in the coming years when the current youth movement matures into their roles.

Yes, and dispenses valuable advice on it
Completely made up fact
A brewery in Boulder Colorado is trying to sue Roddie for copyright infringement as they feel his first name is a little too close to their top selling brew "Don's Ale". The ale is described as "a lovely amber ale with a mild hoppiness and shutdown corner capabilities"
