Boise State Continuing to Rotate Running Backs: Wake Up, Bronco Nation 9-10-15

And I'm cool with that.

Running Backs to Share Field Time

Watching the game on the DVR was even more impressive than envisioning it as I heard it on the radio, and I have a pretty vivid imagination. McNichols is freakishly athletic--picking up yards on a bounce-out that might have gotten Ajayi in trouble--Young breaks tackles like the Hulk, and Demas zips down the field like a hot knife through butter. (There was one 13-yard burst by Demas that really showed just how fast he is.) I think Drew's prediction that we'll have two 1,000-yard rushers might come true (and might even be off by a factor of one rusher)!

Getting to Know BYU quarterback Tanner Mangum

We were expecting Taysom Hill, but we're getting Idaho native Tanner Mangum. We don't have much tape of him playing outside of the Nebraska game, with the exception of him picking up chicks on his mission:

(I know they're ducklings, mmkay.)

He was torn between BYU and BSU in the recruiting process, but ultimately chose BYU. Should we be bitter to the tune of, say, 10 sacks?

Boise State Run Defense a Problem for BYU

BYU didn't amass a ton of rushing yards against Nebraska, and the way Boise State defenders were flying to the ball-carrier poses a bit of a dilemma for BYU. Do they just go one-dimensional and embrace chucking it to their treelike receivers? Or do they try to establish a run game this time around? Seems to be a bit of a sore spot for BYU OC Robert Anae:

Get all the guys that are concerned with the run game to put on a hat and let them coach. Seriously, you're all a buncha wanny-bottom couch coaches! Gee-whiz, you're all thick!

Okay, maybe I made up the last two sentences, but I'm sure he thought it.

BSU Needs More Consistency Against BYU

Doy.

And Rivals needs to double check the schedule, so their graphics guy has us going against Idaho State and not dUIdaho. (Come to think of it, I think Idaho State is by far the stronger team, despite being in the FCS.) Idaho jokes!

Looking WAY Ahead to New Mexico

Were you aware that NM beat Mississippi Valley State University 66-0 without a throwing touchdown last week?

*Shudder

Miscellinkeous:

I'll get the Boise State pundit picks up tomorrow, but in the meantime, here's an attack parrot I came across looking for missionary gifs. I only had attack dogs sic'ed on me. A parrot would have been far more fun to tell about!
