Stats

Height: 5’11"

Weight: 180 lbs

High School: South Oak Cliff High School, Dallas, TX

How'd he get to the Blue™?

He shunned the likes of Tulsa, Boston College and Arizona State to play on The Blue™. Smart choice me thinks. Ladarryl has dabbled in just about everything at the prep level, lining up at WR, CB and even QB. He was rated as a 3-star recruit by Scout, Rivals, ESPN and 247Sports.

Career Highlights

Ladarryl was a standout WR at SOCHS, rated by Scout as one of the top 30 receivers in the Midland Region in TX. He caught 33 passes for 447 yards and 7 TDs to go along with 24 rushes for 171 yards and 3 TDs. He was named first-team all-district as a senior. As a junior at Dallas Kimball HS, he played QB, throwing for over 1,300 yards and 14 TDs while rushing for 700 yards. On defense, he had 18 tackles and 3 PBUs, earning him first-team all-district and second-team all-area. In his second year, he recorded 72 tackles, 4 INTs, 7 PBUs and 3 forced fumbles, warranting honorable-mention all-district honors.

2015 Prospectus

Ladarryl is in an interesting position. He played extensively at both WR and CB, but the Broncos have him listed as CB. Based on the recently released depth chart via Chadd Cripe, Blair is not listed on the two deep...nor are any true freshman (save Brett Rypien). Deayon and Moxey are listed as starters and Ray Ford is backing both of them up. Interesting for sure. While we have some experience in the secondary and players that could shuffle around if needed, it's not ideal to pull guys from other positions, especially with how relatively thin our depth is at safety. Honestly, if there are any injuries, we could see true freshman on the field this season. Heck, we will probably see at least one regardless. Isaiah Johnson actually impressed me during the spring game, which is not all that common for walk-ons. Maston and Miles will juggle nickel duties. Back to CBs though, the fact that Ford is listed as backups for both positions leads me to believe that none of the other players did much to separate themselves on the 2-deep coming out of Spring camp. I would think Hartsfield had been with the team long enough to warrant a position at backup at least. but he's been pulled into the safety pool and ultimately the depth chart at this point MUST be taken with a grain of salt. Fall camp and the fall scrimmage will be our big tell for the secondary, among other positions. Regarding Blair, I think he stands as good of chance as any of the other freshman to see the field this season.

Is he on Twitter?

Indeed he is. The majority of his feed consists of some rapper dissing going on. I won’t embed any of the tweets, but you can check out his feed yourself.

Completely made up fact

Ladarryl is a HUGE fan of balloon animals. More specifically, balloon furniture. His entire bedroom in Texas is constructed of balloons. His bed gives him the right amount of support without being too hard or soft. His biggest problem is his face sticking to his pillow if it gets too warm.
