Boise State/Utah State Voted Best in MWC
The Lost Wages Review-Journal polled a media member from each school in the MWC in different categories, and Boise State came out on top in three of them (Best Program, Best Storyline, and Best Gameday Atmosphere). Utah State Coach Matt Wells was picked Best Coach over Harsin (?), so also was linebacker Nick Vigil picked over Kamalei Correa in Best Defensive Player. I think with Chuckie Keeton being back, people really believe Utah State will succeed this season.
McNichols Stepping up at Running Back
We all know him as "McWeapon", and we all love his potential to break free for an explosive, athletic play! (Also, it gives us opportunities to make awesome logos to go up when he scores using the McDonald's arches.) With Shane Williams-Rhodes also in the lineup, and the creative play-calling of the coaching staff, I can't wait to see what happens on the field against unsuspecting defenses.
But don't call them "trick plays" just because you haven't seen it before. Our team practices so that these plays could be plugged in at just the opportune moment (See: Statue of Liberty).
Six walk-ons have left the roster since spring ball, showing that it can be just as easy to walk off, I guess.
Miscellinkeous:
I surprised my wife for our 15th anniversary last night by having a celebrity TV chef she loves come cook dinner for her. She also got a free WonderMix and WonderMill out of it (about a $600 value). Want to know how I pulled it off? The video on the last link's page is one I made for them! (I'll post a link to the surprise video once I get it done.)
