How'd he get to the Blue™?

Evan Tyler was an under-the-radar player. He was lightly recruited, garnering offers from just SJSU, whom he was committed to for a short time, and Boise State. He was a consensus 3-star recruit according to ESPN, Scout, Rivals and 247Sports.

Career Highlights

As stated before, an all-around 3-star recruit, rated by Scout as the #15 safety in California and #21 in the West. Named to the All-Big VIII First Team and All-Inland Area honorable mention as a senior. Made a total of 189 tackles in there years at Roosevelt, 136 of those solo. To go along with that, he tacked on a sack, and interception, and a forced fumble. He finished at Roosevelt as the all-time tackles leader. He was also a standout track and field athlete, winning the league championship and was a CIF finalist in the 400m as a sophomore and won the title another title as a junior.

2015 Prospectus

The secondary will be interesting with the graduation of Ioane as well as Lukehart retiring. DSG and Thompson will most likely be the starters, though Chance James will throw his name in the hat as well. As I recall, Kam Miles may play at N, but I could be wrong. That leaves the incoming freshman Tyler, Damion Wright and Darreon Jackson to battle for potential backup and third string. Skyler Semibold and Brandon Brown most likely won’t be factors. Any of the 3 freshman could come in and make some noise in fall camp. And, if Miles does play at N with Maston, that could potentially open up a 2nd string slot for a new comer. Fall camp will be interesting!

Is he on Twitter?

Yes he is! Sometimes the challenge can be the fact that some of their name, or all of it, is not in their handle.

Completely made up fact

Evan is a professional yodeler for the Switzerland Singsongers. He travels there twice a year to compete in the YPC (Yodeling Pro Circuit). They are 3 time defending champs.
