Out of Augusts Hawkins High School, Robert Lewis chose Boise State over UTEP and Dixie State. Augustus Hawkins announced his commitment via Twitter, which was quickly retweeted by the majority of the NW people who care about Boise State.
Congrats to Robert Lewis (@21_LOCKS) on committing to Boise State today #HawkinsFootball pic.twitter.com/svlrBinmVI

Listed as a 3-star CB on Rivals and a 2-star CB on 247 and Scout, Lewis had an commendable junior season at Hawkins, finishing with 40 total tackles, including 3.5 sacks, and 2 interceptions. His film shows he has a keen awareness of what is going on across the field. While he is a smaller CB by many school's standards, he fits right in with many past BSU CBs. I have no doubt he'll continue to get better, and we all know how good our coaches are at evaluating talent. What I anticipate at this point is for him to blow up and terrorize opponents his senior season. Welcome to Bronco Nation Robert! Go Broncos!
