Boise State leaves Willamette in the dust

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

Final: Boise State 100, Willamette 36

Welp, that went exactly as it should have gone. Boise State thoroughly outshot, outhustled, outclassed, and outeverything'd the Bearcats of Willamette and got their record back to .500 in style moments ago. Boise State was led by the hot outside shooting of Boston College-transfer Lonnie Jackson, who went 5-of-9 from beyond the arc and of course, junior James Webb III had a rather pedestrian double-double (his 3rd of the year) to help the Broncos hit the century mark for the third time this season. I don't normally self-reference my own tweets, but I think this sentiment summed up the Broncos 64 point win fairly concisely:

Boise State was able to rest their stars, get good minutes from their youngsters, and still shoot over 56% in the contest. I'd call that a good night. If you want to talk about the Broncos 3 straight 100+ point home games...let's talk hoops. If you'd rather discuss the best sports headline of the day, we can do that too.
