Final: Boise State 74, Oregon 72
Well, the Broncos (7-4) were looking for a marquee win after facing a slew of ranked teams early and the confines of Taco Bell Arena was just the place to get it. The Broncos stormed back from an early deficit and led big at times in the second half, but had to gut out a 2 point win as the Ducks (7-2) would not go away down the stretch. The Taco Bell Arena crowd was loud and proud and the Broncos rose to the Duck challenge...something that's becoming a pattern for Boise State athletic squads.
Anthony Drmic led all Broncos with 19 points, but no one could match UO's Dillon Brooks, who chipped in 26 points and was 50% from beyond the arc. Naturally, Brooks wanted—and deserved the final shot, but couldn't get the layup to sink at the buzzer and the Broncos' marquee win is in the books.
Hutchison led all Broncos with 7 rebounds, but the spark he provided off the bench was immeasurable. Great game for the sophomore. Final stats below.
