You guys, Boise State won this week without even playing! New Mexico did us a favor and took care of the pesky Utah State situation we had. The Broncos now control their own destiny. That will not be an easy task with the Lobos visiting next week. The Broncos must play at a very high level for the next 3 weeks in order for the MW Championship to become a reality. And while the NY6 bowl is almost completely out of reach, Navy whopped Memphis to remove that roadblock. I don't think anyone believes we will actually make it to a NY6 bowl, but crazier things have happened (see Arkansas vs. Ole Miss this week).
Let's check in on the future Broncos as many of them began playoffs this week.
Nick Crabtree, TE, Huntington Beach HS (Huntington Beach, CA)
The Oilers lost to Fountain Valley last Friday 37-22, dropping them to 3-7 on the year and 0-5 in conference. No stats were available for Nick in the loss. I could be mistaken, but I believe that wraps up the year for Huntington Beach HS. I'll update with playoff info if I am incorrect. Right now, MaxPreps is showing Nick played in 5 games. He had 6 receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown in those games.
Damarea Crockett, RB, Little Rock Christian Academy (Little Rock, AR)
The Warriors finished of an historic season with a 49-7 drubbing of Maumelle, finished the regular season 10-0 and 7-0 in conference. Crockett ended the night with 111 yards and at least one TD. LRCA clinches the district title and home field advantage for the playoffs, which start this Friday with Sylvan Hills visiting. Once I can get a compiled list of stats, I'll make sure it's updated.
Tyson Maeva, ILB, Cathedral Catholic High School (San Diego, CA)
CCHS notched a win on Friday against Mira Mesa 41-3 to move to 6-4, 2-1 in conference play. No stats were available for the game. That finishes the regular season for the Dons. They get a week to rest up to welcome Carlsbad at home on Friday, November 20th for their first playoff game.
Reid Harrison-Ducros, CB, Heritage High School (Colleyville,TX)
Heritage DESTROYED Richland on Friday 61-0. They pull to an even .500 in the year at 5-5, 3-3 in conference. They must have been a little mad about the loss the previous week. Reid had 5 tackles, 2 passes defended and a punt return for 14 yards. The Panthers have a non-conference game on Friday at Mansfield.
Desmond Williams, OLB, Centennial High School (Corona, CA)
The Huskies won their sixth-straight league titles on Friday after dismantling Norco 67-20. They finished a perfect 1-0 on the season and 5-0 in conference. No defensive stats were available in the win. Centennial gets Chaminade at home on Friday to begin playoff play.
Ezra Cleveland, OT, Bethel HS (Spanaway, WA)
Bethel lost their second in a row, this time to Camas in the playoffs by a final score of 49-6, ending their season. No stats were available for Ezra in the loss. Bethel finished 6-4 on the year and 4-2 in district play. Ezra Finished the year with 6 carries for 33 yards, 44 total tackles, 16 tackles for loss and 4 sacks. A very respectable season for Ezra. Bronco Nation should be VERY excited to have him on the Blue next year.
Julian Carter, WR, Saguaro High School (Scottsdale, AZ)
Saguaro beat Apollo on Friday 37-17, ending the regular season 9-2 and a perfect 5-0 in district play. Julian had a great night with 6 receptions for 104 yards. Julian finished the regular season with 28 receptions for 434 yards and 4 TDs. The Sabercats get Queen Creek at home to begin the playoffs.
Robert Mahone, RB, Prosper High School (Prosper, TX)
Prosper edged Denison on Friday 21-10, moving to 6-4 on the year and 4-3 in district. Robert returned to play, rushing 7 times for 37 yards and 1 reception for 14 yards, though it sounds like he left the game with an injury. Prosper travels to Frisco Lone Star on Friday for a non-conference game.
Kole Bailey, OT, Twin Falls High School (Twin Falls, ID)
The Bruins lost a heart-breaker on Friday to Century in overtime 42-35, ending their season. No stats were available for Kole. They finished 7-3 and 5-0 in conference. While the season has ended for Kole, his work is just beginning. Kole plans to green shirt for the Broncos, arriving on campus in January!

Robert Lewis, CB, Hawkins High School (Los Angeles, CA)
The Hawks tied Los Angeles on Friday 31-31, moving to 8-1-1 and 3-1-1 in conference. The game ended due to darkness! Stats were not available for the game and it is not clear if the Hawks season is over. Robert currently has 1 reception for 40 yards, 38 total tackles, 1 tackle for loss, one QB hurry and one interception.
Chase Hatada, DT, Rocklin High School (Rocklin, CA)
The Thunder defeated Nevada Union 42-13 on Friday to close out the regular season 7-3, 4-2 in league play. Chase had 2 tackles, one tackle for loss in the win. Chase finished the regular season with 18 total tackles, 3 tackles for loss and a sack. He missed a good chunk of the season with an injury. Rocklin has a home playoff game against Burbank on Friday.
Micah Wilson, QB, Lincoln Christian High School (Tulsa, OK)
LCHS dismantled Berryhill on Friday 70-18, finishing the regular season an undefeated 10-0, 6-0 in league play. Micah saved his best game of the regular season as his last. He was 13-20 for 239 yards (65%) and 4 TDs AND 8 rushes for 116 yards (14.5 ypc) and 3 more TDs. He finished with 355 yards and 7 TDs (he also had a punt for 31 yards). That brings his regular season totals to 124-165 (75.2%) for 2,467 yards, 36 TDs and 1 INT AND 34 carries for 369 yards (10.9 ypc) and 7 TDs. He also had 6 punts for 279 yards (46.5 yard average) with 3 inside the 20. If you aren't stoked out of your mind to have Micah on campus, well, I feel sorry for you.
Ali'i Niumatalolo, ILB, Broadneck Senior High School (Annapolis, MD)
Broadneck blanked Southern 31-0 on Friday to move to 8-2 on the year and in region. Stats were not available for the game. MaxPreps does have a message to update the final score, so the score may be different. I'll update when I know. The Bruins travel to North Point on Friday for a non-conference game.
Derriyon Shaw, DE, Legacy High School (North Las Vegas, NV)
I'd like to welcome Derriyon to the list of Bronco commits! Derriyon and his Longhorns squad has not had a great season. They lost their game to Centennial 41-7, moving them to 3-7 on the year and 2-2 in league play. No stats were available in the loss. It effectively ended their season as it was a playoff game. Shaw finished his senior season with 43 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 6 sacks and 4 fumbles caused. Sounds to me like he spent A LOT of time in the backfield. This pleases me.
A couple of players seasons have finished, some are still playing regular season games. Best of luck to those that are still playing. To those that have finished, great season, rest up and we look forward to seeing you all on the Blue next year! Go Broncos!
