2016 Boise State Recruit Roundup: November 1st, 2015

Each week we will take a look at how the current commits did in their final season of high school football!

Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

Well yesterday was a very up-and-down game, wasn't it? The game, I felt, was closer than the final score indicated. UNLV hung around for 3 1/2 quarters, but then, when all was said and done, we put up 705 yards of offense and Rypien set a freshman passing record with 469 yards. Crazy. Our defense gave up 487 yards, which is what made it feel closer than it was. Our secondary was missing some playmakers and it was evident. But, this article isn't to discuss the current Broncos, it's for the future Broncos!

First off, I want to apologize to you Nuggies as well as Ali'i for leaving him off last week's update. He had committed prior, but I was in a zone with the post and it remaining the same for a few weeks that I was just locked in. So I'll provide a bit of a catch up on him for this week. Now, on to the recruits!

Nick Crabtree, TE, Huntington Beach HS (Huntington Beach, CA)

The Oilers had a rough night on Thursday, losing 56-10 to Los Alamitos. They are now 3-6 overall and 1-3 in league play. Stats are not available for the game, but I am reluctant to believe The Oilers suddenly exploded in the passing game. The Oilers travel to Fountain Valley this Friday hoping to bounce back from the loss.

Damarea Crockett, RB, Little Rock Christian Academy (Little Rock, AR)

The Warriors beat Morrilton on Friday 49-21 to remain unbeaten at 9-0, 6-0 in league play. Crockett has 27 carries for 118 yards and 4 TDs in the win to add to his already impressive season. LRCA gets Maumelle at home this Friday to close out league play.

Tyson Maeva, ILB, Cathedral Catholic High School (San Diego, CA)

The Dons shut out Lincoln on Friday 21-0, improving to 5-4 and 1-1 in conference play. No stats are available for this game. According to MaxPreps, Maeva has only played in one game this year, but that is because they have only received stats for CCHS. I'm willing to say, though, that Maeva made some tackles and then made some more tackles. The Dons get Mira Mesa at home on Friday.

Reid Harrison-Ducros, CB, Heritage High School (Colleyville,TX)

The Panthers dropped one to Coppell on Friday 19-14, dropping to 4-5 on the year and 2-3 in league play. No stats were available for Reid in the loss, but when I get an updated I'll adjust this article. Heritage travels to Richland this Friday looking to get back in the win column. *UPDATE* Reid had 8 tackles and 3 passes defended in this game.

Desmond Williams, OLB, Centennial High School (Corona, CA)

Centennial destroyed Corona 69-7 on Thursday, staying a perfect 9-0 on the year and 4-0 in conference. They are still #2 in CA and #3 in the nation. There were 58 total tackles recorded for Centennial in the game, but I don't see any of them credited to Williams. I'm not sure if he didn't play or wasn't in on the action. The Huskies get Norco at home this Thursday.

Ezra Cleveland, OT, Bethel HS (Spanaway, WA)

The Braves lost to Graham-Kapowsin on Friday 27-6, moving to 6-3 on the year and 4-2 in conference. No stats are available for the loss, but the below video was posted prior to the game. A 6'7" 290lb RB? Terrifying. Bethel travels to Camas on Friday.

Julian Carter, WR, Saguaro High School (Scottsdale, AZ)

Saguaro beat out O'Connor on Friday 42-33 on Friday to improve to 8-2 and an undefeated 5-0 in section. Julian had 2 receptions for 37 yards and a TD in the win. the Sabercats play Apollo at home on Friday.

Robert Mahone, RB, Prosper High School (Prosper, TX)

Prosper thumped McKinney Thursday 59-28, moving to 5-4 on the year and 3-3 in conference play. It looks like Mahone's injury kept him out of the win as no rushing stats are credited to him. Lets hope he makes a full recovery soon! The Eagles travel to Denison on Friday.

Kole Bailey, OT, Twin Falls High School (Twin Falls, ID)

The Bruins did not play this week as playoff games begin this Friday. Twin Falls takes on Century, one of their two previous losses, in a neutral playoff game this Friday. Below is a recap of Kole's work against Century. Best of luck this week Kole!

Robert Lewis, CB, Hawkins High School (Los Angeles, CA)

The Hawks won a tight one against Dorsey 31-28 on Friday, moving to 8-1 on the season and 5-1 in conference. Not stat were available for the game. Hawkins plays at Los Angeles this Friday.

Chase Hatada, DT, Rocklin High School (Rocklin, CA)

Rocklin took down Granite Bay this week 27-24 to improve to 6-3 on the year and 3-2 in conference. Chase had 4 total tackles in the win. Glad to see he has bounced back. The Thunder gets Nevada Union (Tanner Vallejo's alma mater) at home this week.

Micah Wilson, QB, Lincoln Christian High School (Tulsa, OK)

Lincoln Christian rolled Sequoyah 56-19 staying perfect. They are now 9-0 on the year and 5-0 in conference. Wilson was 11-15 973.3%) for 178 yards and 4 TDs. That's a 152.2 QBR. Add to that his 3 rushes for 27 yards and another TD and that totals 205 yards and 5 TDs he accounted for. Not a bad day. He also had his obligatory punt which went for 39 yards. He currently has a 32:1 TD:INT ratio, which is absurd. The Bulldogs get Berryhill at home on Friday.

Ali'i Niumatalolo, ILB, Broadneck Senior High School (Annapolis, MD)

The Broadneck Bruins beat Severna Park on Halloween 24-7/ Niumatalolo's Bruins are currently 8-2 on the year and 8-2 in region. The are also currently the #34 ranked team in Maryland. No stats were available in his game. Broadneck travels to Southern this Friday. Below are Ali'i's mid-season highlights and highlights from the Bruins win over Severna Park.

An interesting tweet popped up from a recent visitor, Derriyon Shaw (6'3" 220 3-star DE out of NV):

It could be telling, or it could be a misinterpretation. It seems pretty obvious to me, but I'll leave it to you, readers, to dissect. ALSO, tweeting @ recruits is a BIG NO NO. Just don't do it. It can cause problems for the university as well as the student athlete's. Upon commitment, it's fine to congratulate them, but that's it. Until they have attended a practice or class, leave them be. EVEN if they have signed an LOI, you can still run into issues. When in doubt, don't tweet at recruits. /endrant

Still a couple undefeated teams and a few close losses. Hopefully any injured players heal up this week and any players moving into the playoffs can get some big wins! GO BRONCOS!
