Wake Up, Bronco Nation: 4-7-14

Marco Garcia-USA TODAY Sports

It's a beautiful morning, Bronco Nation. Lets kick our day off with some great news along with the week of sunshine ahead of us. We had Football, Sand Volleyball, Gymnastics and Men's Tennis all this weekend. So, let's see what you may have missed over the weekend.

Solid Tackling on the Blue:

Just in case you weren't able to make it to the scrimmage on Saturday here are a few of the highlights for what you missed. Also it's good to note that Williams-Rhodes was back returning punts on Saturday.

Two Advance to the NCAAs:

In Seattle our women's gymnastics team fought a tough battle at their regional competition for two team spots to compete at the NCAA tournament. Although our team fell short; two of our gymnast will individually be headed to Alabama to compete.

First Competition for Sand Volleyball:

Kicking off our first sand volleyball weekend of competition Boise State shows some promise to our new sport. Our Broncos recorded two victories this weekend. This is a great way to kick off our newest sport.

TWENTY WINS:

Twenty wins this season for our Men's tennis team was reached this weekend versus Middle Tennessee State. Boise State only dropped one match against Middle Tennessee State this weekend. This performance earned a very convincing win for our 22nd ranked tennis team.

Let the Running and Throwing Begin:

Boise State headed down to Stanford this weekend to compete at their annual invitational. Pulling out some great placements such as; a second place finish in the 5,000 meter (I lost my breath just typing it) by Marissa Howard and a couple of personal bests by Jeff Howard and David Elliot our Broncos competed tough this weekend and are looking to continue their season strong.
