Broncos get second Junior Day commitment with late night pledge

Right after midnight, Bryan Harsin made sure that all Bronco fans that hadn't already turned in for the night were good and awake by tweeting his second "GO BRONCOS" tweet of the evening. The first, of course, was the veiled announcement of QB Brett Rypien's verbal...the second was to announce the pledge of Highland Rams (Pocatello, ID) star outside linebacker Kyler Manu. Manu was offered by the old staff and visited Boise on an unofficial last season, but was made a priority by the new staff as well—which was a good thing, since Boise had been his favorite all along. This weekend's Junior Day festivities were enough for Manu to finally decide The Blue was the place for him and he called Andy Avalos last night with the news. The 6'2" 200 lb. Manu helped lead Highland all the way to the state championship game last year, where they dropped a close one to Chase Blakley's Coeur d'Alene Vikings. Manu—a 3-star prospect—was a first team All-State and All-District performer last season, and was also named the District Defensive Player of the Year after racking up 92 tackles (4.5 for loss), 3 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles. Kyler's brother Taison is a defensive back at Idaho State. Highlights right over HERE.
