Moments ago, and on the heels of the Broncos first open scrimmage of the Spring, the Bronco coaching staff landed their 2015 QB, and he's a good one.
I have confirmed. Shadle Park QB Brett Rypien, a four-star recruit, has committed to #BoiseState.

Rypien, a 6'2" 185 pounder out of Shadle Park HS (Spokane, WA) was long considered by scouts as a virtual lock to attend WSU, the alma mater of his famous uncle Mark...a Cougar legend and Super Bowl MVP. Things started to turn though in the last week or so, with several scouting services changing their tune and predicting Rypien would be a Bronco. Well, there was fire with that smoke and the 4-star QB has verballed to the Broncos. Rypien threw for over 4,000 yards and 57 TDs last season for Shadle Park, including a monstrous 613 yard, 8 TD game against Mt. Spokane. Credit OC Mike Sanford and Eliah Drinkwitz with the recruiting win (incidentally, the second 4-star player Drinkwitz has lured away from a Washington school in the last 2 months). Highlights can be seen HERE. Kid can sling it...oh, and he wears number 11. Kismet.
