Get to know new Boise State wide receivers coach Junior Adams

How would you like to be Junior Adams? (The answer is that you would like very much to be Junior Adams. He has keys to the Gene Bleymaier Football Complex.)

Adams is jumping from FCS Eastern Washington to FBS Boise State - his first leap into the FBS ranks and at the winningest college football program of the last decade to boot. Promotions like that don't happen every day. I'm not holding my breath for an insta-upgrade to Rick Reilly's job.

His ascension speaks to opportunity, excellence, and connection. First, opportunity: the job was open. Exellence: His Eastern Washington wide receiver students were nationally-recognized during his time in Cheney. Connection: Adams worked at Prosser High with the Moores and played and coached at Montana State with Marcel Yates and Pete Kwiatkowski. It pays to know people and be good at what you do and to stalk the careerbuilder.com website for job postings by Boise State. Junior Adams has given us our blueprint for coaching the Broncos, people. It's up to us to follow it. (Dibs on offensive line coach.)

Who had his job last

Robert Prince, favorite ice cream flavor: vanilla

Prince is off to the NFL to coach Detroit's wide receivers, one of whom is Calvin Johnson, so Prince pretty much has the safest job in football.

Playing history

Montana State wide receiver, 2001-2002

Coaching history
