Not only did the Broncos get a much needed "good" win against New Mexico last week, they also got some much needed rest. The injury bug hasn't been completely horrible, but the legs had to be tired—maybe the main culprit for multiple late game meltdowns. There is one massive injury, Jeff Elorriaga's back, and here's the latest:
Talked with Boise State coach Leon Rice, who said Jeff Elorriaga is basically going to be a game-time decision every game due to his back.

Rice says Elorriaga has broken bone in back but was cleared to play. Can't get worse. Will depend on pain, stiffness on game night.

Rice gets a little emotional talking about Elorriaga, who played 2 minutes: "he's literally broken his back for this program."

Boise State has never won in Fort Collins, but I like a rejuvenated Broncos club to put a hurt on the Rams.
