Game Day Vitals: Boise State vs. UNLV - 02/01/14

Brian Losness-USA TODAY Sports

Boise State has never won at the Thomas & Mack Center, but today is an valuable opportunity for the Broncos to pick up a road win against a team they are tied in the standings with. While UNLV is a strong team and still a marquee name, they have been plagued by inconsistency and have a poor RPI. A loss today would be yet another dagger to Boise State's NCAA Tournament chances. Of course, a road win is a much desired addition to their profile. Over the past week, Boise State's chances of a bid had been steadily improving. Their worst loss, to Wyoming, was turning out to be not so bad... until they lost to Fresno State. Losing to those Bulldogs has a tendency to tank your RPI.
