Broncos Use Late Run to Pull Away from LMU

Boise State moves to 2-0 on the year.

Kelvin Kuo-USA TODAY Sports

A 12-0 run late in the second half propelled Boise State to a 77-69 victory against the Loyola Marymount Lions. The Broncos were led by Mikey Thompson and Nick Duncan who chipped in 15 a piece. Thompson continues an impressive start to the season, while Duncan redeemed himself after posting a goose egg to start the year.

Derrick Marks was back in the lineup after serving a three game suspension (two pre-season games and the season opener). He only played 21 minutes but scored 11 points in the effort, including five points in the waning moments to seal the victory.

The Broncos move to 2-0 and will be back in action on Tuesday when they take on the University of Montana at Taco Bell Arena at 8:00pm MST.
