Now for some news and notes and wild speculation:

  • The big change this week is the 'OR' tag slapped on the weakside linebacker battle between Tyler Gray and Ben Weaver. If you've been paying attention to the games, as I'm sure you have, it should be pretty evident that Weaver has seen a lot of playing time as of late. In addition, he leads the team in tackles with 23. Gray's skillset is much more suited for the pass-happy Fresno State offense, but don't be surprised if Weaver is the starte before too long.
  • Tight ends galore... not that it's of any consequence, but Connor Peters and Jake Hardee were added as the thrid and fourth TE to this week's depth chart.
  • Jonathan Moxey has moved into a co-backup CB role with Cleshawn Page. This week I'm sure we will see a lot more of a traditional nickel package, so expect all of the backup CBs to play in tandem with Deayon and Douglas.
